Track Name: The Lamb
When the Lamb is lost in the mountain
He'll cry and stamp his hoof
Will there come the mother? or
Will there come the wolf?

The beast that I now coddle
would have danced up on the sun
So for want that she would not suckle,
they slit her lolling tongue
Track Name: Creek Run Red
Morning came and went
without a bird falling
She walked barefoot out from the hills
into the valley

She put flowers in her hair
I put grass stains on her dress
As the sunlight pierced the clouds
like a dagger

Into the humus and the loam
sank her face and her moans
I saw a black dog leering
from the briar

My vision grew dim,
I collapsed forward
When I woke into the night,
she was gone

Don't try to console
I hear your voice cracking
My worry is not your own

I can hear the worms
beneath her skin, crawling
as I drink and I stare
into the dark

Through the forest, through the trees
through a haze and cold wind
I see a black witch dancing
with her bones

Morning will come and go
without a bird falling
and I'll hang my head
down low
Track Name: Roselit Bone
We'd been driven from our home
through fields of flowers and
fields of stone
until we hit the shore
I gazed out at the rolling waves
through hair all matted down with rain
too tired from the battle
to think about the war

She sat there on the sand
letting sift, so slowly, through her hand
as the wind blew through her and
the wind blew cold
I looked up at her face
hungry, defeated, and untouched by age
All silk and tulle and roselit bone

Love me
like you love the ocean
Love me
like you love the open sea
There are horses on the road
and my legs are weak
Love me,
and stand up to meet them

The dancing, grinning fauna
will come to me at dawn
to drag me, drunk and bleating
They'll separate my bones from flesh
and dance my skin around your bed
and you'll know that I went out screaming

Love me
like you love the ocean
Love me
like you love the open sea
There are fires out in the field,
and I do not sleep
Love me,
and keep the fire burning
